The organization must be a nonprofit. It can only work for charity, education, patriotic activities, or community improvement. It cannot sell stock or pay out profits to owners. The group and its officers, acting in their official roles, may not give money or help to political parties or candidates, and it may not run political propaganda. Its money or property cannot be given to directors, officers, or members unless the organization closes and its assets are finally distributed. The group may not loan money to a director or officer, and any directors who approve such a loan and officers who take part are each responsible, together and separately, to repay the full amount until it is paid back.
