The corporation must create an Office of the Ombudsman. The office’s duties and responsibilities will be set by the corporation’s bylaws or by a board of governors’ resolution. The Office must send a yearly report to certain Congressional committees about any trends or system-wide problems it finds. The Senate committees are: Committee on Finance; Committee on Foreign Relations; Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions; Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs; and Committee on the Judiciary. The House committees are: Committee on Energy and Commerce; Committee on Foreign Affairs; Committee on Homeland Security; Committee on the Judiciary; and Committee on Ways and Means.
