§30310 Service of Process

Summary
The corporation must have an agent in the District of Columbia to accept legal papers. If that agent is handed the papers or they are mailed to the agent’s business address, the corporation is treated as having received them.

The corporation shall have a designated agent in the District of Columbia to receive service of process for the corporation. Notice to or service on the agent, or mailed to the business address of the agent, is notice to or service on the corporation.
