When the corporation is dissolved, certain property must become the Secretary of the Army’s. That includes firearms stored at the Defense Distribution Depot, Anniston, Alabama on the dissolution date, M–16 rifles the corporation controlled, and trophies received from the National Board for the Promotion of Rifle Practice up to that date. Any other asset may be given to a tax-exempt organization under 26 U.S.C. 501(a) that is a 501(c)(3) and does work like the functions in section 40722. Assets cannot be given to an individual. Anything not given away must be sold and the money put into the Treasury.
