§371 Relationship to Other Incentives and Pays

Summary

Bonuses or incentive pay under subchapter II are paid on top of a member’s regular pay and allowances unless another rule in the chapter says otherwise. A member cannot get the same bonus from both subchapter I and subchapter II for the same duty, skill, or time period. Money paid as a subchapter II bonus or incentive cannot be counted when figuring other pay increases or when calculating retired pay, retainer pay, separation pay, or disability severance pay.
