§3019 Tutorial Assistance

Summary

People who get educational assistance under this law also qualify for tutorial help like the help an eligible veteran gets under section 3492, and the same rules for that veteran apply. The tutorial help can be up to $100 per month, for no more than 12 months, and no more than $1,200 total. That money is paid on top of the regular educational allowance you already get. Only the tutorial payments that are more than $600 will count against your available educational benefit time. For each amount over $600 that equals your normal monthly full‑time educational payment, one month of your educational entitlement will be used.
