Title 38 › Part III— READJUSTMENT AND RELATED BENEFITS › Chapter 35— SURVIVORS’ AND DEPENDENTS’ EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE › Subchapter IV— PAYMENTS TO ELIGIBLE PERSONS › § 3537
The Secretary must use the help of eligible students who are enrolled at least three-quarter-time in a State program of education (not special restorative training) for the activities listed in section 3485(a). Those students get an extra education payment called a work-study allowance in exchange for doing the work. The amount of that payment follows the rules in section 3485(a), and the jobs and payments must meet the same rules, terms, and conditions that section 3485 sets for students in three-quarter-time programs.
