Defines who counts as a "disabled veteran" and a "veteran of the Vietnam era." A "disabled veteran" is either a veteran who gets disability pay rated at 30 percent or higher, or a veteran who left active duty because of a disability that started or got worse while serving. A "veteran of the Vietnam era" is someone who served on active duty for more than 180 days with any part during the Vietnam era and left with a discharge that was not dishonorable, or someone who left active duty for a disability tied to their service if any of that duty was during the Vietnam era.
