§5106 Furnishing of Information by Other Agencies

Summary
Heads of federal departments and agencies must give the Secretary any information the Secretary asks for to decide if someone can get benefits, how much they should get, or to check related facts. The department or agency that provides the information must pay the cost of sending it.

Title 38, §5106
Veterans' Benefits — Source: USLM XML via OLRC
The head of any Federal department or agency shall provide such information to the Secretary as the Secretary may request for purposes of determining eligibility for or amount of benefits, or verifying other information with respect thereto. The cost of providing information to the Secretary under this section shall be borne by the department or agency providing the information.
