Title 38 › Part IV— GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS › Chapter 59— AGENTS AND ATTORNEYS › § 5901
Except as allowed by section 500 of Title 5, no one may act as an agent or attorney to prepare, present, or pursue claims under laws run by the Secretary unless the Secretary has officially recognized them for that role. Each time a claimant logs into a Department website or online tool, the site must show a plain warning about people who act without recognition and provide links to report them, to search for recognized agents/attorneys/entities, and to view final discipline decisions. The Department must give this information in English, Spanish, Tagalog, and the seven other most commonly spoken languages in the United States.
