The Secretary must make sure the Board moves quickly on any claim the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims sends back to the Secretary. The Board must also quickly decide if a notice of disagreement filed with it is a covered case. A "covered case" is a claim for compensation tied to military sexual trauma where the person appealing asked for a hearing in the notice of disagreement filed under section 7105. "Military sexual trauma" is defined in section 1166.
