Title 38 › Part V— BOARDS, ADMINISTRATIONS, AND SERVICES › Chapter 76— HEALTH PROFESSIONALS EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM › Subchapter III— TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM › § 7624
If someone in the Tuition Reimbursement Program stops working as a Department employee permanently assigned to a Department health-care facility, they won’t get tuition paid for the courses they are in. Instead of completing the required service, they must pay the United States back what was paid or is still owed, reduced by the share of required service days they already completed. They must pay that amount within one year after the agreement is broken.
