Title 39 › Part IV— MAIL MATTER › Chapter 36— POSTAL RATES, CLASSES, AND SERVICES › Subchapter VI— GENERAL › § 3685
Owners of periodicals that get special mailing privileges must give the Postal Service certain information at least once a year and must print that information in the publication once a year. The information must say who runs and owns the publication (including the company and major shareholders if it is a corporation), name known creditors or security holders, and show circulation details (how many copies, how they are sent, and how much is paid). Owners must also provide more information whenever the Postal Service asks. The Postal Service will make rules to carry this out and may suspend or revoke the mailing privileges if the required information is not given.
