Summary
Counties that are partly or wholly in the Great Lakes watershed or system (as defined in section 118(a)(3) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (33 U.S.C. 1268(a)(3))) make up the Great Lakes Authority region in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

The region of the Great Lakes Authority shall consist of the counties which contain, in part or in whole, the areas in the watershed of the Great Lakes and the Great Lakes System (as such terms are defined in section 118(a)(3) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (33 U.S.C. 1268(a)(3))), in each of the following States:
(1)Illinois.
(2)Indiana.
(3)Michigan.
(4)Minnesota.
(5)New York.
(6)Ohio.
(7)Pennsylvania.
(8)Wisconsin.
