§3705 Safety Programs

Summary
The Secretary of Labor must set up and run training and education programs for employers and workers in jobs covered by this chapter so they can spot, avoid, and prevent unsafe working conditions. The Secretary must also gather reports and data and advise employers on the best ways to prevent injuries.

Title 40, §3705

The Secretary of Labor shall—
(1)provide for the establishment and supervision of programs for the education and training of employers and employees in the recognition, avoidance, and prevention of unsafe working conditions in employment covered by this chapter; and
(2)collect reports and data and consult with and advise employers as to the best means of preventing injuries.
