Title 40 › Subtitle SUBTITLE I— FEDERAL PROPERTY AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES › Chapter 9— URBAN LAND USE › § 903
Requires the head of the General Services Administration to notify the local government that controls zoning and land use before committing to buy real property in an urban area, when possible. If advance notice would hurt the purchase, notice must be given immediately after the property is bought. If that local government objects because the buy or new use would conflict with zoning or planning goals, the Administrator must, as practicable, consider those objections and follow the zoning rules and planning objectives.
