For contracts and purchases made outside the United States to support humanitarian or peacekeeping work, the simplified acquisition threshold is two times the amount listed in section 134. A humanitarian or peacekeeping operation means military action to provide humanitarian or foreign disaster aid or to support UN peacekeeping under Chapters VI or VII, and it does not include routine training, force rotation, or stationing.
