Do not knowingly share or get contractor bid or proposal information or source selection information before a federal agency awards the contract, unless the law allows it. This rule applies to current or former federal officials and to people who worked for or advised the government on a procurement and had access to that information. Also, a private-sector employee assigned to an agency under chapter 37 of title 5 may not disclose that information for 3 years after their assignment ends.
