§7108 Payment of Claims

Summary

Federal judgments against the United States for claims under this law must be paid quickly using the procedures in section 1304 of title 31. If an agency board orders a monetary award to a contractor, the agency must also pay it promptly under the same 31 U.S.C. 1304 procedures. Payments made this way must be repaid into the section 1304 fund by the agency that used the contract money, either from available funds or by getting additional appropriations. For the Tennessee Valley Authority, judgments and contractor awards are handled differently. They must be paid under section 9(b) of the Tennessee Valley Authority Act of 1933 (16 U.S.C. 831h(b)) instead of the section 1304 rules.
