Summary

If the Chairman or most Board members ask, the Board may hold hearings, meet at times and places it chooses, hear testimony, and accept evidence. Any Board member can give oaths to people who testify. If the Chairman or most Board members ask, and if allowed by law, the Secretary or the Secretary’s contractor must give the Board records, files, papers, data, or other information the Board needs for its questions. That includes drafts and work-in-progress, not just finished documents.
