Title 42 › Chapter 134— ENERGY POLICY › Subchapter I— ALTERNATIVE FUELS—GENERAL › § 13216
The head of the General Services Administration must create a yearly awards program to honor federal employees who best support using alternative fuels and saving fuel in federal vehicles. Awards go to people who show strong help for the alternative-fueled vehicle program (for example, promoting use, keeping vehicles well maintained, working with other government levels, arranging new buying or refueling deals with businesses, requesting alternative vehicles for their agency, and keeping many alternative vehicles compared with regular ones) and who promote fuel-saving actions like using fuel-efficient cars, carpooling, and regular maintenance. Up to $35,000 may be provided for fiscal year 1994, and whatever money is needed may be provided for fiscal years 1995 and 1996.
