Sets meanings for the key words used in the division. Agency means the term in 5 U.S.C. 551. Intervention is a specific service meant to produce an impact in a social impact partnership project. Secretary means the Secretary of the Treasury. A social impact partnership project pays for social services using a social impact partnership model. That model gives federal money to a State or local government only if agreed outcomes are met and the government works with providers, investors (if any), and, if needed, an intermediary to choose the intervention, the provider, and the investors. State means every U.S. State, the District of Columbia, commonwealths, territories or possessions of the United States, and each federally recognized Indian tribe.
