All contracts for loans or yearly contributions under the United States Housing Act of 1937 must let the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and the Comptroller General, or their authorized representatives, inspect and audit the public housing agency’s books, papers, and records. They can look at any records that relate to how the agency handles federal housing money.
