Federal agencies must increase their use of energy-efficient tools and methods when managing natural resources. When possible, the heads of the Interior, Commerce, and Agriculture departments must add energy-saving technologies in public and office buildings for national parks, wildlife refuges, national forests, marine sanctuaries, and other public lands they manage. They must also, when possible, use energy-efficient vehicles, including biodiesel and hybrid models, for that work.
