Congress says the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation should promote more investment in clean, efficient energy technologies by: (1) reaching out to U.S. companies that want to invest in such technologies in countries that are major sources of global greenhouse gas emissions; (2) giving priority to projects that use these technologies when reviewing and awarding them; and (3) offering more flexible support, like financing, insurance, or other help. The Corporation must include in its required annual report (1) a description of what it did to carry out this guidance or (2) if it did nothing, an explanation why.
