Agency heads may use their existing fire‑protection funds for the actions described here. Money received for providing fire protection goes to the U.S. Treasury, except reimbursements to the Department of Defense or Department of Agriculture, which must be returned to the same appropriation or to a currently available one and follow that fund’s rules.
