Title 42 › Chapter 16— NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION › § 1862o–15
The Director must let any institution that sent a preproposal that is judged to have merit under the Foundation’s review submit a full proposal, even when the program limits how many preproposals an institution may send. The Board must study how the Foundation’s limits on the number of proposals from a single institution affect institutions of higher education. It must decide if those limits are justified for the programs that use them. Not later than 1 year after August 9, 2007, the Board must send a report with its findings and any recommended changes to the House Committee on Science and Technology and to the Senate Committees on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.
