Title 42 › Chapter 16— NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION › § 1865
Create an Executive Committee of five people to carry out powers the Board gives it. Four members are elected by the Board and the Director is the fifth member and the chair. At each yearly meeting the Board picks two members, and those chosen serve two years from the election date. Anyone (except the Director) who has served six years in a row cannot serve again for two years. Time between yearly meetings counts as one year. If someone is elected to fill a vacancy, they finish that term. The Committee must send an annual report and any other needed reports to the Board, and include any members’ dissenting views and recommendations.
