Title 42 › Chapter 16— NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION › § 1869a
After August 9, 1975, the Director of the National Science Foundation must require that any NSF grant for precollege science or engineering curriculum include a clause in testing or sales contracts (or similar written agreements). The grant recipient and any subcontractors who distribute, market, or sell the curricula must make all instructional materials — including teacher manuals, films, tapes, and other supporting items made or provided under the award — available in the school district where they are used so parents or guardians can inspect them. The Director must also take necessary and feasible steps to add this clause to awards made on or before August 9, 1975 whenever possible.
