§18774 Data Collection on Electric Vehicle Integration with the Electricity Grids

Summary

Within 1 year after November 15, 2021, the Administrator must create and put into action ways to collect more data about how electric vehicles connect to and affect the electricity grids. The data can come from things like host- or network-owned charging stations, groups that combine charging demand, utilities with managed-charging programs, electric vehicle owners, and balancing authority studies of transformer loading and distribution-system congestion. To do this, the Administrator can work with others such as the Secretary of Transportation, the Secretary, the EPA Administrator, state agencies, and private companies.
