Title 42 › Chapter 162— ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE › Subchapter IV— ENERGY INFORMATION ADMINISTRATION › § 18776
Within 1 year after November 15, 2021, the Administrator must expand and improve the Energy Information Administration’s international energy data. The goal is to understand energy production and use in other countries, changing international use patterns, the relative costs and environmental effects of energy, and plans or construction of major energy facilities. To do this, the Administrator must work with the International Energy Agency, add country-level detail on energy use by fuel, economic sector, and end use when available, collect measures such as cost and emissions intensity, and provide easy tools for comparing countries across sectors and end uses.
