Title 42 › Chapter 21G— PREGNANT WORKER FAIRNESS › § 2000gg–5
Protects other laws that give equal or better protection to people because of pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical problems, so it cannot override or weaken those federal, state, or local rights. It also does not force employer-sponsored health plans to pay for or cover any specific treatment, nor change other laws about payment or coverage. The chapter follows the special rule for religious employment in section 2000e–1(a).
