§2015c Partnership Program with Institutions of Higher Education

Summary

The Commission can team up with colleges and universities, including Hispanic-serving institutions, historically Black colleges or universities, and Tribal colleges, to run research, mentoring, teaching, and training programs. These partnerships must help the schools teach and train students (including current or possible future Commission employees) and support research in science, engineering, law, or other areas the Commission says are important. Hispanic-serving institution — the term as defined in other federal education law. Historically Black college or university — the term as defined in other federal education law. Tribal college — the term as defined in other federal law about tribal colleges.
