The Commission can give source material to other countries when working with them, including under cooperation agreements made under section 2153. The Commission may also send source material outside the United States if it decides that doing so will not harm U.S. interests. If the Commission sends material without an export license from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, it cannot send more than three metric tons per year to any one recipient.
