The Secretary must keep supporting the U.S. uranium industry and push for use of American uranium. While doing this, the Secretary cannot exercise control over the Corporation. The Secretary must report each year to the proper Congressional committees about actions taken, including efforts to boost exports. The Department, with help from the Department of Commerce, the U.S. Trade Representative, and other government groups, must encourage exporting domestic uranium. Within 180 days after October 24, 1992, the Secretary must make recommendations and start government programs to promote those exports.
