Title 42 › Chapter 24— DISPOSAL OF ATOMIC ENERGY COMMUNITIES › Subchapter IV— SALES OF PROPERTY FOR PRIVATE USE › § 2342
The Commission must offer for sale or other disposal all land and buildings in the community that it now leases or licenses for homes, business, industry, farming, churches, or other nonprofits, including any buildings, fixtures, or equipment it chooses to include. It must not offer (1) structures it thinks should be removed for poor construction, condition, or location, (2) property it thinks should be transferred under subchapters VI or VII, or (3) property it decides to keep for its own use. The Commission may, but does not have to, dispose of other community property inside or outside the community. Sales and transfers must follow this subchapter, serve the national interest, ignore other preference rules except those in this chapter, and must not reduce existing lease or covenant rights, including any purchase rights.
