Title 42 › Chapter 34— ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM › § 2704
When a Job Corps center is closed, the Director of the Office of Economic Opportunity must set up rules so the center’s buildings and equipment can be used by state, federal, or other public or private groups when possible. Priority is for programs that help low-income, disadvantaged youth. It covers six kinds of activities, such as remedial help, summer youth work, job training, arts, teacher training, and conservation projects. The Director must work with the General Services Administrator and the Secretaries of Agriculture, the Interior, and Labor to make this happen.
