The Institute director can set up a program to help turn new Alzheimer’s research into better diagnosis, care, and treatment. Money from the program will pay for awards to support promising clinicians to do research, study, and practice at top Alzheimer’s centers. The work must take place at places strong in brain science, brain biology, care for older people, and psychiatry. It must encourage new ideas and teamwork among those fields or at other sites the director approves.
