The Secretary must make sure enough allied health workers, nurses, and paramedical staff are trained to care for older adults. The Director of the Institute must study how HHS programs affect the biological, medical, social, and mental parts of aging, share research and other aging information widely so older and near‑older people and all Americans can understand and cope, and give grants to public and private nonprofit institutions to research Alzheimer’s Disease.
