Title 42 › CHAPTER 6A — PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE › SUBCHAPTER III–A — SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES ADMINISTRATION › Part C — Projects for Assistance in Transition From Homelessness › § 290cc–24
Decides the minimum allotment each State gets for a fiscal year. Each State, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico must get at least $300,000. Guam, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands must get at least $50,000. If a formula gives a larger amount, the State gets that instead. The formula multiplies the total money set aside for the program that year by the State’s share of the population living in urbanized areas, using the most recent Census Bureau numbers.
