Grant or contract money under this program can pay for things like training programs, faculty development, pilot projects, trainee support (tuition, books, fees, and reasonable living costs while training), technical help, workforce studies, sharing information, and testing new policy ideas to meet health workforce goals. Recipients must keep spending their own (non‑Federal) money on these activities at least equal to what they spent in the fiscal year before they get the grant.
