The Secretary of Health and Human Services must work through the United States Preventive Services Task Force to study which preventive care services, given in primary care, help older Americans the most. The Task Force’s mission must be changed to include evaluating services important to older people. Not later than 1 year after December 21, 2000, and every year after that, the Secretary must send Congress a report with the study findings and any recommendations for laws or agency actions the Secretary thinks are needed.
