Title 42 › CHAPTER 6A — PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE › SUBCHAPTER XXIV — HIV HEALTH CARE SERVICES PROGRAM › Part B — Care Grant Program › subpart i — general grant provisions › § 300ff–31b
Gives permission to spend specific amounts to run the program for fiscal years 2007 through 2013: $1,195,500,000 for 2007, $1,239,500,000 for 2008, $1,285,200,000 for 2009, $1,349,460,000 for 2010, $1,416,933,000 for 2011, $1,487,780,000 for 2012, and $1,562,169,000 for 2013. Money made available for a given year can be used by the Secretary until the end of the second fiscal year after that year. From each year’s total, the Secretary must set aside $5,000,000 for grants under section 300ff–30. Also, any amount for a year that is greater than the “2006 adjusted amount” must have one-third of the excess reserved for grants under section 300ff–29a. That one-third reserve is subject to the rule in section 300ff–28(a)(2)(H) for the year, and funds appropriated only to carry out section 300ff–26 are not counted toward this requirement. “2006 adjusted amount” means the FY2006 appropriation under section 300ff–77(b) as it was then, minus any FY2006 money that was only for section 300ff–26.
