Title 42 › CHAPTER 6A — PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE › SUBCHAPTER XXXI — WORLD TRADE CENTER HEALTH PROGRAM › Part B — Program of Monitoring, Initial Health Evaluations, and Treatment › subpart 2 — wtc survivors › § 300mm–32
The same followup monitoring and treatment rules now used for enrolled WTC responders must also be used for certified-eligible WTC survivors. Survivors get the same monitoring and care, except as set by the list of qualifying WTC-related health conditions below. The list covers three groups. First, 12 aerodigestive conditions (for example: interstitial lung disease; chronic respiratory problems from fumes/vapors; asthma and RADS; WTC‑exacerbated COPD; chronic cough; sinus, nose, and throat disorders; GERD; and sleep apnea related to these). Second, 10 mental health conditions (for example: PTSD; major depressive disorder; panic and other anxiety disorders; acute stress, adjustment, and dysthymic disorders; and substance abuse). Third, any cancer or other condition later added to the list under section 300mm–22(a)(3) through the procedures in section 300mm–22(a)(5) or (6), as applied to survivors.
