Title 42 › CHAPTER 6A — PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE › SUBCHAPTER XVII — BLOCK GRANTS › Part B — Block Grants Regarding Mental Health and Substance Use › subpart iii — general provisions › § 300x–56
It makes it illegal to on purpose lie or hide facts to get money from State grants under sections 300x or 300x–21. That includes lying about goods or services the State might pay for, and hiding any event that affects a person’s right to get or keep those payments so they get more than they should or get payments when they are not entitled. Each time someone breaks this rule, they can be fined under Title 18, imprisoned for not more than 5 years, or both.
