Title 42 › CHAPTER 44 — DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT › § 3535a
The United States Treasury must create a working capital fund for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Fund will pay for shared services used by HUD offices and agencies, and for parts of printing, records, office renovation, furniture, and supplies that the Secretary decides should be provided centrally. The Secretary must move needed money from the "Executive Offices", "Administrative Support Offices", "Program Office Salaries and Expenses", and "Government National Mortgage Association" budgets into the Fund, and may add up to $10,000,000 more from those budgets. Money in the Fund stays available until spent and is the only money offices can use for those centralized services. These rules replace the usual rules.
