Title 42 › CHAPTER 50 — NATIONAL FLOOD INSURANCE › SUBCHAPTER II — ORGANIZATION AND ADMINISTRATION OF FLOOD INSURANCE PROGRAM › Part B — Government Program With Industry Assistance › § 4072
When the flood program is run under section 4071, the Administrator can adjust and pay valid, approved flood insurance claims. If the Administrator denies a claim or the claimant rejects the amount offered, the claimant has one year from the date the Administrator mails the denial or partial denial to sue the Administrator in the U.S. district court where the insured property is located. That court alone handles the case, no matter how much money is involved.
