Title 42 › CHAPTER 77 — ENERGY CONSERVATION › SUBCHAPTER I — DOMESTIC SUPPLY AVAILABILITY › Part C — Authority To Contract for Petroleum Product Not Owned by United States › § 6249a
Parts (a) and (b) were repealed on November 9, 2000. Petroleum products and facilities contracted under this part must be treated the same as if the United States owned them for federal, state, or local law. When a contract ends and the product is pulled from the Reserve, that product (or an equal amount taken under the contract) is treated as if it never left the place where it was stored when the contract began for the purpose of deciding which laws apply.
