§7385s–5 Applicability to Certain Uranium Employees

Summary

Treats some uranium workers and their survivors the same as Department of Energy contractor employees who got sick from toxic exposures. That means people who got a $100,000 payment under section 5 of the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act for an illness from a covered exposure or a section 5 uranium worker found to have a covered illness from a section 5 mine or mill (and their survivors) are covered the same way. Definitions: "section 5 payment recipient" — someone who received $100,000 under section 5 of the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (42 U.S.C. 2210 note).
