Title 42 › CHAPTER 91 — NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION POLICY › SUBCHAPTER II — RESIDENTIAL ENERGY CONSERVATION › Part C — Residential Energy Efficiency Programs › § 8235e
FERC can allow exceptions to parts of the federal natural gas laws for the sale or movement of gas that was saved by a prototype home energy-efficiency program approved under its plan. If the seller is regulated, the State that sets their rates must say the gas was saved. If the seller is not regulated, the seller can say so. FERC must find the exception is needed to let the program be tested.
